Crisis Helpline for Minorities - 800 80 887
For more than 30 years Kirkens SOS has been there for people in need of someone to talk to when life is at its hardest. Got something on your mind? We have time to listen.
KTM is a crisis helpline for ethnic minorities in Norway.
We offer confidential, non-judgemental support in English and Norwegian. Our volunteers cannot discover who you are unless you tell them yourself.
Talking things through can help when life feels difficult.
Give us a call when you need someone to talk to.
When you call us you are always anonymous. Our volunteers are men and women with diverse religious beliefs and ethnic backgrounds.
You can choose to speak Norwegian or English.
The phone lines are open
Thursdays 1330 - 2200
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 1830 - 2200
Calling the phone number 800 80 887 is free of charge from landlines in Norway.
Mobile phone charges vary, and you should contact your operator for information on prices.
Better in writing? Send us an SOS message
Some things are easier to express in writing. Others are simply too difficult to say out loud. Either way you are welcome to share with us by sending an anonymous SOS message to our volunteers. We promise to answer as soon as possible. Les mer

Become a volunteer!
- Would you invest some of your time in the lives of others?
- Are you over 20 years old?
- Can you listen more than you talk?
- Are you comfortable with speaking both Norwegian and English?
- Can you resist the urge to give good advice and offer solutions to the problems of others?
- Can you meet others with respect and without judgement independent of their attitudes and life experiences?
If you feel comfortable with these points we would invite you to join as a volunteer.
